About Just An Hour
Just An Hour helps people in Barcelona find somewhere to volunteer, without the hunting around.
Why we started
Lots of people want to help out where they live but don't know where to start. Organisations are spread across different websites, roles are hard to compare, and it's not always clear what's expected of you, especially if you've just moved to the city.
Just An Hour brings local organisations together in one place, explains the different ways you can help in plain language, and makes applying take a couple of minutes.
How it works
Browse organisations by the causes you care about, pick the roles that suit you, and apply. The organisation gets in touch to take it from there. It's free for volunteers, and we only list organisations that have agreed to be on the site.
What we care about
Starting small
You don't need to sign up for a year. An hour is a fine place to start.
Being clear
What a role involves, how much time it takes and what happens next, all up front.
Local first
We're starting in Barcelona and working closely with the organisations here.
Who's behind it
Just An Hour is a small, independent project based in Barcelona. It's early days, so if you have ideas or feedback, we'd love to hear them. Get in touch
